Harvest of Hope Overview

The Country Harvest^™ brand first established its association with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation^™ in 2003 and has been a part of October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month activities ever since.

Breast cancer remains the most common cancer among Canadian women. In 2011, an estimated 23,200 Canadian women will be diagnosed with breast cancer. On average, approximately 445 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer every week.

There is good news, however. The incidence of breast cancer has stabilized over the past 10 years, and since 1986, the death rate has fallen by more than 30%. Improvements in screenings and advancements in treatment are among the reasons.*

The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation^™ is the leading national volunteer-based organization in Canada dedicated to creating a future without breast cancer.
