Get Up and Go Meal Ideas - Saturday
Breakfast
- 1/2 grapefruit
- 2 Country Harvest Stone Milled 100% Whole Wheat bread, toasted
- 2 oz cheese (<20% M.F.)
- 1 cup water, tea or coffee
Morning Snack
- 2 tbsp mixed nuts
- 1 cup your choice of fruit
Lunch
- 1/2 cup vegetable juice
- Chicken and pesto pasta salad made with 1 cup three-color fusilli pasta, 1/2 cup your choice of mixed vegetables (celery, bell pepper, onion, cauliflower, etc.) and, 3 oz cooked chicken and 1 tbsp pesto
- 1/2 cup fresh pineapple
Afternoon Snack
- 1 slice Country Harvest Oat Bran bread, toasted, with 1 tsp light jam
- 1 cup skim or 1% M.F. milk
Dinner
- 4 oz Florentine fillet of sole cooked in aluminum foil with spinach, onions, grated carrots and cheese (<20% M.F.)
- 1 oven-baked potato
- 1 cup garden salad with fresh vegetables and 1 tbsp oil and vinegar dressing
- 1/2 cup berries
- 1 cup water, tea or coffee
