Light and Simple Meal Ideas - Friday

Breakfast

  • 2 low-fat multi-grain waffles, topped with 1/2 cup strawberries and 3/4 cup vanilla yogourt (<2% M.F.)
  • Water, tea or coffee

Morning Snack

  • Fruit smoothie - blend 3/4 cup milk, 1/2 cup frozen fruit and 1/4 cup orange juice

Lunch

  • 1/2 cup vegetable juice
  • Multicolored bean salad - 3/4 cup mixed beans, 1/2 cup fresh vegetables and dressing (2 tsp olive oil, 1 tsp wine vinegar and 1/2 tsp lemon juice)
  • All-veggie sandwich made with Country Harvest Whole Wheat bread
  • 1/4 cantaloupe

Afternoon Snack

Dinner

  • Chicken pasta primavera - 3/4 cup vegetables, 3 oz cooked chicken breast, 1 cup cooked whole wheat pasta,1 tsp lemon juice and 1 tbsp grated light Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup fresh vegetable salad and dressing (2 tsp olive oil and 1 tsp balsamic vinegar)
  • Pineapple delight - blend 2 tbsp cold milk (<2% M.F.), 1 tbsp plain yogourt, 3 oz pineapple and 1 large ice cube
  • Water, tea or herbal tea
