Nutrition Made Easy Meal Ideas - Wednesday

Breakfast

  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 3/4 cup bran flakes with 1/2 cup dried raisins and 1/2 cup skim or 1% milk
  • 2 slices toasted Country Harvest Twelve Grain bread
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 1 cup coffee or tea*

Morning Snack

  • 2 fig cookies

Lunch

  • 1 serving of vegetarian chili (1/4 cup red beans, 1 tofu sausage, 1/2 cup chopped peppers and onions, 1/2 cup canned tomatoes and chili powder)
  • 1 slice Country Harvest Flax bread
  • 1 cup salad with fresh vegetables and 1 tbsp light vinaigrette
  • 1/2 cup canned peaches
  • 1 cup skim or 1% milk

Afternoon Snack

  • 1 yogourt smoothie prepared with 1/2 cup yogourt, 1/2 cup frozen fruit and 1/2 cup orange juice

Dinner

  • 4 oz grilled salmon with orange and balsamic vinaigrette sauce
  • 1 cup rice pilaf
  • 1/2 cup green beans
  • 1/2 cup cooked baby carrots
  • 1/2 cup exotic fruit salad (kiwi, mango, papaya)
  • 1 cup water, coffee or tea
