country market ham and cheese grillers
- 4 slices Country Harvest Seven Grain bread
- 2 tbsp (25 mL) Becel margarine, softened
- 4 tsp (20 mL) apple butter
- 2/3 cup (150 mL) old cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 slices Black Forest ham
- 2 baby dill pickles
Spread margarine over one side of each slice of bread. Spread apple butter on unbuttered sides of two of the slices. Top apple butter with half of the cheese and ham and then the remaining cheese. Top with remaining bread slices, buttered side up. Heat skillet over medium-low heat. Fry sandwiches, turning once, until golden and cheese is melted – about 10 minutes. Serve with pickles.
Apple butter adds a sweet surprise to these crispy grillers.
