goat cheese canapés
Make canapés from stale bread by cutting into circles or rings 2 1/2 or 3 inches in diameter, or cut into squares, strips, triangles or other fancy shapes. Then, sauté in just enough Becel margarine or olive oil to keep them from burning.
In a bowl, mix cheese and chives. Spread mix on canapés. Broil in oven until lightly golden on top (approx. 2 to 3 minutes).
Serve these canapés as a casual backyard barbecue appetizer or as a light lunch with a garden salad.
